As part of their home remodeling, this couple wanted to convert and extend an outdoor patio into a multi-media game room with home theater surround sound system. They also had problems with poor or non existence Wifi signal coverage in parts of their home and wanted that problem fixed as part of their remodelling project.

They have heard and read about (IoT) Internet of things and smart home technologies on television and home remodeling magazines and needed advice from a knowledgeable systems integrator on whether or not they can integrate smart home technologies at an affordable price. The couple were referred to LifeStyle Technologies by a friend who had benefited from the services of LifeStyle Technologies.

After initial consultation and follow-up meeting with clients at their home, the couple become more knowledgeable and receptive to the convenience, comfort, security and increased property value of homes equipped with smart technologies. But in order to stay within their original budget, LifeStyle Technologies proposed a two phase smart home technologies installation solution.

Phase 1 includes outfitting the home with the necessary high performance cabling infrastructure to support high bandwidth video streaming and high performance wired and wireless gigabit network. In addition, two home theater systems, video distribution to five TVs, surveillance security cameras integrated with network video recorder with remote access capability were also included in this phase.

Phase 2 would be layered on the foundation technologies already installed in phase 1 and would support smart controls and automation for lighting, security alarm, heating and cooling, shades, with capacity for newer technologies.
